I hate narcissistic people. I really do. I despise them. I don’t like male narcissists – I’ve seen firsthand how they treat women and how screwed up they make some women feel over time. But I really despise female narcissists especially – as the trail of destruction they leave behind them can be truly brutal and awful.
Narcissism is a personality disorder characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a need for excessive attention and admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. While it’s commonly associated with men, narcissism can also be found in women – and guys, we really need to stamp this out!
One of the key traits of female narcissists is grandiosity. They may have an exaggerated sense of their own importance and believe they are special and entitled to special treatment. They may also have a sense of entitlement when it comes to their relationships, expecting their partner to cater to their needs and desires without reciprocation.
Female narcissists may have difficulty empathizing with their partners or understanding their feelings. They may focus on their own needs and desires, without taking their partner’s perspective into consideration. This can lead to a lack of emotional intimacy in the relationship.
Female narcissists may use manipulation tactics to control their partner or get what they want. They may engage in gaslighting, making their partner doubt their own perceptions and memories, or use guilt-tripping to get their way. They may also use charm and flattery to get their partner to comply with their desires.
Like all narcissists, female narcissists have a strong need for admiration and attention. They may seek out compliments and validation from their partner, and become upset if they don’t receive the level of attention they desire. They may also seek out attention from others outside of the relationship, through flirtation or other means.
Female narcissists may struggle to take responsibility for their actions or apologize for their mistakes. They may blame their partner for any issues in the relationship or refuse to acknowledge their role in any conflicts or problems that arise.
Female narcissists may engage in competitive behavior with their partners, seeking to one-up them or prove their superiority in various ways. This can lead to a power struggle in the relationship, with the narcissist seeking to maintain control and dominance.
Female narcissists in romantic relationships can be difficult to deal with, as their traits can lead to a lack of emotional intimacy, manipulation, and power struggles. If you believe you’re in a relationship with a female narcissist, it may be helpful to seek out the support of a therapist or counselor to help navigate the relationship and make decisions about how to move forward. Personally, I’d just run for the hills…
