While a perfect relationship may last a long time, there are factors that can contribute to the decline of something that was once so wonderful. While there are countless reasons, these are the ones we here about the most often. Maybe a few of these unfortunate things side-swiped your relationship, or that relationship of your friends. Either way, you’ve heard them before.
Relationship Failure Reason 1:Money – This one is truly unfortunate, as money should play no role in decision of the heart. In a long-term relationship, especially a marriage, where the money of both parties is spent freely as one source of income, troubles arise when both people have different spending habits.
Relationship Failure Reason 2:Communication – This is usually at the core of most relationship problems. When an issue arises, maybe the couple doesn’t talk them out and listen to each other’s side, and instead they argue and let the issue fade away. The problem with this is that it doesn’t alleviate anything; it just piles more on top of it. Working to maintain healthy communication is a sure fire way to make the bond grow stronger and help you get past most of these other obstacles.
Relationship Failure Reason 3:Selfishness – You need to love and respect the other person enough to listen to them and go with their methods sometimes. However, you also need to be aware that sometimes an occasion will arise where letting your partner have it their way isn’t the way to go (it’s also unhealthy), and the two of you need to work out a compromise for the greater good. A selfish partner (or two) will not budge.
Relationship Failure Reason 4:Family – When you marry someone, or even commit to a long-term relationship, you become a part of their family and vice versa. You need to understand the bond this person has with their loved ones (which can include close friends), and not try to break or stress that bond.
