That girl you’ve had your eye on, be it a stranger or a friend, means something in every body sign she gives. Whether she is consciously aware of it or not, she always sends a message with her body language, and knowing how to properly analyze and interpret it will give you better insight to her true feelings and intentions than most of what she says to you.

As a matter of fact, the odds are overwhelmingly good that a woman was interested in you, showed it to you in her body language, and you completely missed it. The moves are subtle, but psychologists have studied them for years now, and it is almost down to a primitive science.

The head, face and hair are crucial. The most common sign of interest involves a subtle tossing of the head, throwing back the hair and exposing the neck. This is a subtle way of showing that she trusts you and is willing to let you in. When a woman runs her fingers through her hair, it means she is giving you a green light to be more up front, and typically shows that she likes a man to be dominant. Deep eye contact and frequent blinking both signal a genuine interest in you. If she shows off a big smile it shows that she is comfortable around you and genuinely enjoying your company. A slight raise of the eyebrow or some pupil dilation indicate that she likes you, as well.

If you notice a girl showing one or more of these signs (and if you’re lucky, she’s showing all of them), you’ve got the subconscious green light and should continue to flirt with her. Not only does reading body language help you out with deciphering a stranger, but it can also help you find out if that friend of yours is really a friend, or if she has some sort of sexual interest in you.

Keep in mind that body language is a two-way street. While she is sending you signals, you are sending her signals of your own. Understanding body language will allow you to not only know how she feels about you, but help you understand what others may be seeing you say to them. You need to make sure that you keep a confident and relaxed composure, or you could see her signs of interest start to fade and not understand why.

Body language reading is not only useful during the flirtatious stages of a relationship, but during the course of a relationship as well. Reading her signals will let you know when she is lying to you, upset with you, or distracted. The more fluent you are, the better you can adapt to situations and not remain clueless.
