Dating at a Concert

When you think of a date, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a romantic dinner or picnic, followed by a movie or a stroll in the park. But what about attending an upcoming concert instead?

Going to a concert with someone can be a great way to show them your musical interests, and it can provide an opportunity to get to know each other better. But what is the appropriate behaviour between adults attending a concert on a date, and in their vehicles on the way home afterwards?

Firstly, remember that concerts can be crowded and loud. This means that you should be extra mindful of your behaviour and not be too rowdy or disruptive for others. It’s also a good idea to be physically aware of the other people around you, and to respect their space. It’s important to be considerate and courteous to the other concert-goers, and not to be too overbearing or intrusive.

When it comes to the music, it’s important to remember that everyone has different tastes. If you’re on a date and your date isn’t into the same music as you, it’s important to be considerate and not be too pushy about your own tastes. If your date likes Disney musicals but you like punk music try to find something that you both enjoy, or at least something that you can both appreciate. A date to a concert is unlikely to go well if one person in the date hates the band or artist that is performing.

When it comes to the ride home, it’s important to remember that you’re in a vehicle with someone else. This means that you should be mindful of your behaviour and not be too loud or disruptive. It’s also important to be aware of your date’s comfort level, and to make sure that they feel comfortable and safe. Unless you know this person well, fooling around in the vehicle is not recommended. It can be misinterpreted and it can lead to all sorts of problems and situations. Always be respectful. No means no!

A concert is potentially a great place to have fun and enjoy yourself, but as it’s a public event you must be aware of your behaviour and ensure that you respect the other people around you. This means being considerate and courteous, and not being too intrusive or pushy. Get to know each other for sure, and enjoy doing so, but if you’re having a date at a concert always be Respectful, Considerate, and Mindful.
