Your mind can be clouded with doubts when considering a relationship breakup. Some simple relationship tests may help you decide whether to stay in a relationship, or move on. As always, the choice is yours – and only you can make that decision. So what sort of relationship tests should you consider?
Communications: How good are the communication skills between you and your partner? In a successful relationship, people are able to convey their feelings frankly and honestly without fear of being misunderstood by their partner. Are you able to do this? Can you talk openly about anything and everything without major conflict or sadness?
Jealousy: Is your partner jealous about any other relationships or friends you have? Jealousy is often a sign of immaturity. Generally, you can help your partner overcome the jealousy issue by reassuring your love and trust towards them. Make them feel important and loved. Once they lose their insecure thoughts, they will not be jealous with people approaching you; instead they will have faith in you and your true love. If you’re jealous, chill a bit – your partner is with you because they love you.
Life Goals: Do you both share the same goals in life? Sometimes two people are not just meant for each other – and if you’re trying to experience life in totally different ways this will quickly become apparent. The more you try to make things work, the more your relationship becomes problematic. You can’t fight each other – you must both want the same general life direction.
Abuse: If you’re in an abusive relationship, this is a no-brainer: RUN AWAY. There is no use letting someone harass you emotionally or physically – and in many countries, this is also against the law. Nobody should control you. Nobody should hurt you, mentally or physically. Nobody should harm you. If you’re getting abused, run away NOW.
Relationships can also be tested by looking at relationship parameters like communication, commitment, trust, love, and values etc. These simple relationship tests should help you to gain good insight about the current state of your relationship and help you to work out whether you should stay in your current relationship, or move on. Your happiness is the most important thing!
