This sentence has been tossed around more than any other by men everywhere – Women love bad guys. The fact of the matter is that there is some truth to it.

It isn’t necessarily a jerk they want, but somebody who is exciting, spontaneous, and willing to be himself. These all make perfect sense. It isn’t that a girl doesn’t like a guy who opens doors for her, pays for dinner, and cuddles her at night. It just so happens to be that society has labeled those guys as repetitive, boring, and unambitious. While that isn’t necessarily true, it is a way of thinking that has developed over time and led to the bad boy fascination.

We can’t blame women for this style of thinking. While a girl may enjoy a stable, caring man who will drive the kids to soccer and work his 9-5 job year in and year out, that grows stagnant, and makes you feel old after a while. Men are the same way, we just classify girls as the “bad boy lovers”.

The thing about being a bad boy that most men don’t get is that you don’t have to ride a motorcycle, call women names, and carry a plethora of exotic STD’s to excite a woman. It’s danger and excitement they are looking for. You should show this side to your partner, even if you’ve been together for years. Start dating your partner again. Go to the bar instead of an Applebee’s. Drink a little bit, and run down to the beach to make love in the surf. Go hiking, sky diving, or jet skiing. Travel somewhere you’ve always wanted to go.

You don’t have to shell out a lot of money to make these things happen, you just need to do them intelligently. You certainly have a spontaneous and wild side to you, and it is healthy for your relationship to show that you’ve still got it. Not only is it good for your relationship, it’s good for you. Life should be exciting, so get a little wild.
